The Avett Brothers have added a few more U.S. concert dates to their steadily growing 2019 tour schedule. Friday’s announcement, which includes seven more shows next spring, should continue to get Avett Brothers fans pumped and ready for the arrival of their new studio album—the follow-up to 2016’s True Sadness—which as of now is still scheduled to arrive sometime in 2019.The batch of seven new concert dates will begin on April 20th in Brandon, Mississippi, and continue into next month with scheduled performances at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK (5/13); Pinewood Bowl Theater in Lincoln, NE (5/17); Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers, AR (5/18); Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA (5/24, 5/25); and Virginia Credit Union LIVE in Richmond, VA (6/9). The newly announced concerts will begin immediately following the band’s appearance at the 2019 edition of 420 Sweetwater Festival down in Atlanta, Georgia, where they’re scheduled to play on April 19th.The Avett Brothers recently returned to late-night television with a live appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers back in October to give America a preview of the new material with a performance of new tune “Roses & Sacrifice”. The song represents as the first new music shared by the band since the Rick Rubin-produced True Sadness arrived back in June 2016. It is also the band’s first recording without keyboardist Paul Defiglia, who left the band in September of last year.The Avett Brothers also recently announced their 2019 return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre next summer with a three-night run over Independence Day weekend, where they’ll be joined by Lake Street Dive as support for the final show on Sunday, July 7th.Avett Guild pre-sale tickets for the newly announced run of spring 2019 shows will begin on December 11th at 12 p.m. local time, with general on-sale following a few days later on December 14th.
