Ms Harvey said Qantas’ new alliance with Emirates will also assist in creating greater connectivity for travellers visiting Western Australia. The Western Australian Government has secured a AU$7.65 million marketing agreement with Qantas Airways to jointly promote tourism for the state. “It will play a vital role in our bid to attract more domestic and international visitors to the State and increase the value of tourism from AU$7.5billion in 2012 to AU$12billion by 2020.” The campaign will target potential domestic visitors, as well as international travellers from the United Kingdom, USA, Germany and Singapore.
